Dandelion provokes an instinctive urge in us all. When presented with a hairdryer and an enormous dandelion boasting a full head of seeds, there’s no questioning what the outcome will be. With the satisfaction of having knocked off the last seed, the Dandelion regenerates itself in one swift move, and the urge to start again is restored.
A relaxing soundscape prompts a feeling of calm, and is reminiscent of childhood memories in the garden. It is equally engaging for youngsters experiencing, sometimes for the first time, a digital interactive experience.
We created this playful installation in collaboration with YOKE interaction design. The piece uses 3D gaming software, infrared technology and a familiar yet oversized weed.
The most beautiful must be Dandelion which combines exquisite graphics of a dandelion clock with a hairdryer
